Music Development Networker
£364 per month freelance fee - flexible objective based working
Four pro-active and self-motivated
individuals to form a team that will work together with the Team
Leader George Moorey are required from April 2009 to March 2010. The
team will be a catalyst for music in the County, especially where
young people aged 14-25 are involved and will:
- create links with the county’s
musical community
- build an effective countywide
network consisting of individuals and organisations concerned
with music
- support existing projects and
help to initiate new ones
The team’s mission will involve
working in partnership to support a diverse range of people from
local music industry, music education, live music scenes along with
others such as those from youth work, community development, health
and regeneration organisations.
We’re looking for entrepreneurial
people who can work independently, demonstrate initiative and
creativity and have:
- experience of working with young
people in music
- experience as a self-employed
creative practitioner
- experience in music education,
community music making or the music industry understanding of,
and contacts in, the county’s local music communities
- understanding/awareness of
regional and national initiatives in music education, provision
and/or development
- the ability to develop, plan and
implement sustainable strategies for the continuation of music
development in Gloucestershire after the 12 month period of the
contract
- good communication and
organisational skills
