Base Sound have been training bands
and engineers in the art of live sound recoding since 2000. Located
in Gloucestershire the organisation offer 2-day courses, providing
all the skills to start live sound engineering straight away.
The course has proved very popular
with bands and individuals alike and organiser Howard Williams
says "Many bands
invest a large amount of money into their own instruments and a PA
system but in the majority of cases do not fully understand how to
get the most from it and ultimately their live sound suffers. Most
bands want to focus on their writing and performing and our weekend
course is an ideal way to ensure they acquire the skills to greatly
improve their own live sound plus allow them to also earn money
providing live sound engineering to other bands."
Base Sound also offers a one day advanced live sound course which
focuses on the use of specific outboard equipment to take your
engineering skills to the next level. In addition one to one
training days for engineers, artists and bands are also run to
provide training to suit their individual needs.
