Who Are You: Aisha are a 3 piece based in Stroud who have been gigging together for about 3 years. We are Nick Stephenson (vocals and guitar), Will North (vocals and bass) and Robbie Spargo/ Tom Stephenson (drums but depends on who is around). Aisha are relatively unknown in the gloucester/cheltenham area, but not for lack of trying and have been envolved in the wired project in 2004 (or 05 one of them).
Why Should We Come and See You: Good question, you should probably come an see us because we are nothing like the bands you will see in the local area. The sound, look and feel of the music is nothing like the emo/punk/rock sound coming out of this area and so it is actually a plesent suprise for all who come to watch. Also we ain't bad to look at.
For Fans of / Sounds Like: Our music is normally influenced by American Lo-fi bands like Kings of Leon but our biggest influence are Pavement and Interpol. If you like either of these bands definately come and watch as we would like to think ourselves as a british version of these. Also dad bands like teenage fanclub, talking heads, sonic youth etc are bands that we take influence from and so hopefully if you like these bands you will like us.
